Privacy policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
The short version
- When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and the language you were reading the site in. That is all we ask for.
- We use it only to email you about the Flightraco beta, including your invite.
- No ads and no tracking cookies. We count visits with a cookie-free tool that does not identify you. We never sell your information.
- You can unsubscribe or have your email deleted at any time by writing to flightraco@gmail.com.
- The Flightraco app is not released yet. Before the beta opens, we will add what the app collects to this policy.
1. Who we are
Flightraco is run by Fuzail Chaugle, an individual developer. In this policy, “Flightraco”, “we” and “us” mean him. We decide how your personal information is used, so we are responsible for it. Under European and UK law, that makes us the “controller”.
You can reach us at flightraco@gmail.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers this website and the Flightraco beta waitlist.
The Flightraco iPhone app has not been released. Before we invite anyone to the beta, we will update this policy to explain what the app collects and why, and we will email the waitlist when we do.
3. What we collect
When you join the waitlist
- Your email address, which you type in.
- The language you were reading the site in. The form sends it automatically so that we can write to you in that language.
You do not have to give us your email address, but without it we cannot add you to the waitlist.
When you visit the site
- Our host, Vercel, automatically records technical information to deliver the pages and keep them secure: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you asked for, the page you came from, and the time. We do not use it to work out who you are.
- We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. It records the page you viewed, the page you came from, your country, and your browser, operating system and device type. It does not use cookies, and we do not use it to work out who you are.
- When you submit the form, Formspree, the service that runs it, also records technical information such as your IP address and browser, to block spam.
When you email us
- Your email address, what you write, and anything you attach.
What we do not collect
We do not use advertising, tracking cookies or any tool that follows you across other websites. The only analytics we use is Vercel Web Analytics, described above. This site never asks for your name, payment details, or flight or booking details.
4. Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies.
If you pick a language from the menu, your browser remembers your choice in its local storage, under the name flightraco-lang, so the site opens in that language next time. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can clear it in your browser settings.
If Formspree suspects a submission is spam, it may ask you to complete a Google reCAPTCHA check. If that happens, Google processes information about your device and your use of the check under Google’s privacy policy.
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. We do not track you across websites, so we treat every visitor the same whether or not it is on.
5. How we use your information
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the law asks us to name a legal basis for each use. It is shown alongside.
| What we do | Information used | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Add you to the waitlist and send your beta invite | Email address, language | Your consent, given when you join |
| Email you about the beta: when it opens, what has changed, and when it ends | Email address, language | Your consent, given when you join |
| Reply when you write to us | Your email address and message | Our legitimate interest in answering you |
| Count visits and see which pages are read, so we can improve the site | Page viewed, page you came from, country, browser, operating system and device type | Our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used |
| Keep the site and form secure and free of spam | Technical information | Our legitimate interest in running a safe service |
| Meet a legal obligation, if one ever applies | What the law requires | Legal obligation |
We will not use your email address for anything else. We will not add you to other mailing lists or use it to advertise to you. We do not make automated decisions about you.
6. Who we share it with
We share your information only with the services that help us run Flightraco, and only as much as each one needs.
- Formspree (United States) runs the waitlist form. It receives and stores each sign-up and forwards it to our inbox.
- Vercel (United States) hosts this website and runs Vercel Web Analytics, the visitor statistics tool we use.
- Google, through Gmail, is our email provider. It holds the sign-up notices Formspree sends us, the emails we send you, and any emails you send us.
- Apple, only if we invite you to the beta by email through TestFlight, Apple’s beta-testing service. We give Apple your email address so that it can send you the invite, and Apple handles it under its own privacy policy. If we send you a public TestFlight link instead, we do not give Apple your email address.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order.
If Flightraco moves to a company that Fuzail sets up or joins, your information will move with it and stay under this policy. We will email you before that happens, and you can ask us to delete your email instead.
We do not sell your personal information, rent it, or share it for advertising.
7. Where it is processed
Formspree, Vercel and Google may store and process your information in the United States and other countries, and we may access it from wherever we are. Those countries may not have the same data protection laws as yours. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer for international transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.
8. How long we keep it
- Your waitlist email address and language: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until 12 months after the Flightraco app is publicly released, whichever comes first. We then delete them from Formspree and from our inbox.
- Emails you send us: as long as we need to deal with your message, and no longer than 12 months after our last exchange.
- Technical records and visitor statistics kept by Vercel and Formspree: for the limited periods those services set, after which they delete them automatically.
9. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- unsubscribe at any time by replying “unsubscribe” to any email from us, or by writing to us;
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it;
- ask us to delete it.
Write to flightraco@gmail.com, from the address you signed up with if you can, so that we know the request is yours. It is free, and we will reply within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, you may have further rights.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
You can also ask us to restrict how we use your information, object to any use based on our legitimate interests, and receive your information in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent at any time; that does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it. You can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work. In the UK, that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Canada
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
India
You can ask for a summary of the information we hold about you and of everyone we have shared it with; ask us to correct, complete, update or erase it; and nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to. Bring any complaint to us first. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can take it to the Data Protection Board of India.
California and other US states with privacy laws
You can ask what information we hold about you and ask us to delete or correct it, and we will not treat you differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it.
10. Age limit
The waitlist and the beta are for people aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe someone under 18 has joined, tell us and we will delete their details.
11. How we protect it
This site uses HTTPS, so your email address is encrypted on its way to Formspree. We protect the accounts that hold the waitlist with strong passwords and two-step verification, and only we can sign in to them. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever puts your information at risk, we will tell you, and the authorities where the law requires.
12. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your email address, we will email the waitlist before it takes effect.
